Job Summary
Easy Fundraising Cards creates fundraising discount cards that schools, sports groups, and nonprofits sell to raise money. You will connect with local merchants and ask them to support these organizations by putting an offer on a fundraising card, at no cost to them.
What You'll Do
You will call local merchants using a list, phone script, and tracking system that we provide, and ask them to place an offer on the back of a fundraising card. You are not selling anything, and you are not asking anyone for money.
We are looking for a commitment from you to complete at least one fundraising card per week.
What it takes
To complete one discount card, you can expect to make 100+ calls over 2 to 3 days, speak with 50 decision-makers, and secure about 20 offers. Plan on 10 to 20 hours of calling per card, depending on your ability and determination.
The most successful callers keep meticulous notes and follow up consistently.
Is this a good fit?
As an independent contractor, you set your own schedule. However, merchants are easiest to reach during normal weekday business hours, when decision-makers are at their businesses and available to talk.
The best calling hours line up almost exactly with the school day. One of our callers worked around her daughter's school and after-school activities for more than twelve years.
Who this is not for
This is not a good fit if you are looking for guaranteed hourly pay, cannot make calls during weekday business hours, are unwilling to make 50 calls a day, are not detail-oriented, or are looking for short-term or temporary work.
What you need
- To be comfortable and clear on the phone
- Organizational skills. You will work from an Excel list of 100 or more merchants, keep detailed notes, and follow up consistently.

Excel and email skills. You must be able to enter data accurately, confirm information, and move entire rows within a spreheet.
- Your own computer, internet, and phone.

What we offer
- $275 to $325 per completed card (depending on the number of merchants).

This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not an employee position. You set your own schedule, provide your own equipment, and are paid per completed card rather than by hourly wage or salary.
