I am a newspaper columnist preparing a book based on approximately 125 articles I previously wrote.
The articles are available online. I need a detail-oriented freelancer to locate each article, copy the text, and place it into Microsoft Word documents for use in a book manuscript.
Responsibilities
Locate each article online using the information I provide.
Copy the full text into Microsoft Word.
Create one Word document per article.
Preserve the article title and publication date.
Remove advertisements, navigation links, comments, and unrelated website content.
Proofread for copying errors and formatting issues.
Save files using a consistent naming convention.
Requirements
Strong internet research skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Experience with Microsoft Word.
Ability to follow formatting instructions consistently.
Good written English.
Deliverables
125 Microsoft Word documents.
Files organized per directions.
