We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse/Social Worker with Utilization Review experience to join our brand new psychiatric hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and assistance to patients and their families, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and care during critical times as well as a good understanding of insurance payors and documentation review. This role requires a strong understanding of case management, health information systems, and various healthcare settings, including acute and psychiatric care.
Duties
Review documentation to ensure compliance with current ICD coding standards and health information management protocols.
Previous Utilization Review experience in a psychiatric setting.
Support patients and families in navigating complex healthcare systems.
Offer crisis intervention and counseling to patients experiencing acute or critical care situations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and overall care quality.
Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, assessments, and progress notes.
Experience
A degree in Social Work or Registered Nurse licensure
Prior experience in case management or social work within acute care or psychiatric care settings is preferred. Registered Nurse in a psychiatric setting.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
