The support specialist is a key member of the centralized Utilization Review team, responsible for time‑sensitive authorization tracking and resolution.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and track approvals, denials, and additional information requests from third‑party payers within the EMR.
• Monitor the status of authorizations to ensure timely processing and resolution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Working knowledge of computers and software systems; strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively achieve department outcomes.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in healthcare.
• Experience working in Epic is preferred.
