About The Role Splunk is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Software Engineer to join our Observability team. You will work on systems that help our customers detect and resolve infrastructure and application issues quickly. You will be a key contributor to the user-facing web application for Splunk Observability Infrastructure Monitoring, a leading product in our suite. What you’ll do Collaborate with product owners and designers on product design and implementation. Break down requirements and estimate work for sprints. Participate in architecture reviews and influence product design. Design testable software, develop test plans, and automate testing. Develop product features with a focus on reusability, modularity, and scalability. Participate in on-call rotations and operational duties to ensure service stability. Must-have Qualifications Professional experience in software development, especially with Golang; Python or Java experience is a plus. Experience with OpenTelemetry for distributed systems monitoring. Familiarity with AI frameworks like LangChain, OpenAI APIs, and Vector Databases. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps best practices. Understanding of NoSQL and vector databases is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and clean coding ability. Bachelor’s degree in CS or EE, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of related experience (or equivalent educational background). Compensation and Benefits Base pay ranges vary by location, from approximately $117,120 to $201,300 annually. The role may include incentive compensation, equity, and other benefits such as health coverage, 401(k), and paid time off.
