Description:

  • Report to the PingOne Admin Experience engineering director.
  • Serve as a senior individual contributor on the PingOne Platform Administration team.
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Design and develop backend services and APIs for PingOne Platform Administration capabilities.
  • Contribute to AI-related platform tooling, including MCP server capabilities, developer tools, and supporting workflows.
  • Partner with product managers, QA, UX, and peer engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Help shape technical direction, engineering standards, and system design decisions.
  • Mentor other engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and day-to-day collaboration.
  • Improve observability, reliability, maintainability, and deployment safety for team-owned services.

Requirements:

  • 5-7+ years of professional software engineering experience as a senior-level individual contributor on Agile teams.
  • Strong backend software development experience building production-grade services.
  • 3+ years of experience developing Java services.
  • Experience developing NodeJS services.
  • Experience with TypeScript is highly desired.
  • Experience in Identity Management is highly desired.
  • Experience developing tools and skills for AI models is highly desired.
  • Experience developing MCP servers is highly desired.
  • Experience developing SaaS applications.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and working with distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native development practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production support.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners including product management, QA, UX, and engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.
