<br><p><strong>Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician</strong></p><p>Location: Fully Remote</p><p>Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST</p><p>Pay: $20–$22/hr based on experience</p><p>Employment Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire</p><p>Start Date: September, 7th 2026</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Job Overview</u></strong></p><p>Insight Global is seeking Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technicians to support a large healthcare client. In this role, you will help remove barriers to medication access by working with insurance companies, provider offices, pharmacy teams, and patients to support approvals, claims, refills, adherence, and financial assistance needs.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a great opportunity for pharmacy technicians who have experience with prior authorizations, test claims, claims adjudication, and patient support in a retail, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare setting.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p><p>- Communicate directly with insurance companies to support medication approvals</p><p>- Navigate pharmacy operating systems to input data, run test claims, and support claim adjudication</p><p>- Document patient concerns, prior authorization updates, financial assistance needs, and claim statuses</p><p>- Work with provider offices to review prescription information and support patient care</p><p>- Assist patients with pharmacy insurance claims, refills, and medication access questions</p><p>- Communicate with patients over the phone regarding medication compliance and pharmacy support</p><p>- Work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy liaisons, and internal teams to support quality patient care</p><p>- Maintain complete and accurate documentation across systems</p><p>- Research and investigate information to support timely follow-up and issue resolution</p><p>- Participate in process improvement initiatives and help identify workflow trends or opportunities</p><p>Required Qualifications</p><p>- 0–1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in retail, specialty pharmacy, or a healthcare setting</p><p>- High school diploma or GED</p><p>- Active state pharmacy technician license, unless located in a state where this is not required</p><p>- Experience with prior authorizations, test claims, and claims adjudication</p><p>- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST</p><p>- Ability to attend mandatory training during the first 5 weeks of the assignment</p><p>- Strong attention to detail and comfort working across multiple systems</p><p>- Strong communication skills and ability to support patients over the phone</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications</u></strong></p><p>- National certification as a CPhT through PTCB or NHA</p><p>- Specialty pharmacy experience</p><p>- Experience working through the full prior authorization process from start to finish</p><p>- Experience communicating with insurance companies, provider offices, and patients</p><p>- Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills</p><p>- Ability to work independently in a remote environment</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Additional Details</u></strong></p><p>Candidates must be able to provide an active pharmacy technician license number and, if applicable, national certification information.
