Pickaxe is a U.S.-based Bitcoin mining hardware and hosting company. We've been profitable since 2021. Our marketing engine generates strong inbound lead volume, but we're leaving an entire growth channel on the table: **referral partnerships, outbound channels, and affiliate networks.**
We're hiring one or two outbound specialists to build and own this channel. You will not be on salary. You will not be an employee. You will be a 1099 contractor (or international referral partner) with uncapped commission on every deal that closes through the network you build. This is a high-upside, high-accountability role for someone who already knows how to open doors and build relationships at scale.
**What This Actually Is**
You will build Pickaxe's referral and affiliate network from the ground up. That means:
- Recruiting CPAs, tax professionals, and accounting firms whose high-net-worth clients benefit from Bitcoin mining's tax advantages (Section 179, bonus depreciation, energy credits)
- Recruiting wealth advisors, family offices, and crypto-native financial planners
- Recruiting crypto and finance content creators, podcasters, and newsletter operators
- Recruiting mining-adjacent service providers (electricians, real estate brokers specializing in industrial, energy brokers)
- Negotiating referral agreements with each partner
- Activating those partners with sales enablement materials we provide
- Owning the relationship with your network long-term
**The Comp Plan**
- Commission on every deal that closes through your referral network — paid for the life of the customer's first contract
- Performance bonuses for hitting partner activation milestones.
- No salary. No base. No draw. This is pure performance.
- Realistic earnings: $0 if you don't deliver. $200K+ if you build a real network. Top performers will clear $500K+ as their network compounds.
- Paid monthly via direct deposit (US) crypto, or other preffered payment gateway.
**Who We Want — Apply Only If You Match**
You must have AT LEAST ONE of the following:
1. **An existing network** of CPAs, financial advisors, accountants, or HNW client-facing professionals you can tap immediately
2. **A track record of building affiliate or partner networks** that generated meaningful revenue (proof required — we'll ask for numbers)
3. **A senior-level outbound BD background** with documented success cold-opening enterprise relationships
4. **An existing audience** in crypto, finance, or accounting (newsletter, podcast, YouTube, Twitter — minimum 10K engaged followers/subscribers)
You must also:
- Be a self-starter who needs zero hand-holding
- Be comfortable with 100% commission income
- Have a track record of *closing*, not just *prospecting*
- Be available for weekly check-ins with the owner (Zoom)
- Have a legitimate business entity (LLC, sole prop, or international equivalent) and be able to invoice us
**Hard Disqualifiers**
- You've never closed a high-ticket B2B deal
- You need a base salary to feel motivated
- You want to be "taught" outbound — we hire people who already know how
- You don't have an existing network or audience to leverage
- You're not legally able to work as an independent contractor in your country
- About Bitcoin Mining as a Sales Angle (For CPA Networks)**
Here's the pitch in plain English: Bitcoin mining hardware is a business asset that generates revenue. Under U.S. tax code, it can qualify for Section 179 expensing and bonus depreciation — meaning a high-income buyer can potentially write off the full cost of the equipment in year one against their business or active income. At the same time, the machine produces ongoing Bitcoin revenue.
Pickaxe makes this hands-off for the buyer. We operate data centers with extremely competitive electricity rates and full-service hosting. The buyer purchases the hardware, we plug it in, we run it, and they collect the Bitcoin it mines. No setup. No technical headaches. No power bills to chase. Just a depreciable business asset that produces revenue.
Why this is untapped:
- Most CPAs and tax advisors have HNW clients constantly asking, "How do I lower my tax bill this year?"
- Most of those CPAs have never heard of hosted Bitcoin mining as an option
- Their clients are writing checks for traditional equipment financing, real estate deals, and other Section 179 plays — when a turnkey revenue-producing alternative exists they've never been shown
- The first person to introduce that CPA to this option owns that relationship for years
The right outbound specialist can monetize this gap by simply opening doors and starting conversations with the right professionals. We handle the technical sale. You build the network.
Important Positioning (Read Carefully)
We are a hardware sales and hosting company, not an investment company, financial advisor, or tax advisor. Anything you say to a prospect must be framed accordingly:
- You're not selling an "investment" — you're introducing a tax-advantaged business asset
- You're not promising tax outcomes — you're saying it "may qualify" for Section 179 / bonus depreciation depending on the buyer's individual tax situation
- You're not promising Bitcoin returns — Bitcoin price is volatile and mining economics change
- You're not giving tax advice — buyers must consult their own CPA
- You're not offering securities — this is the purchase of physical equipment
Partners and their clients must consult their own tax professionals for advice specific to their situation. Past tax treatment is not a guarantee of future treatment. Tax law changes. Licensed professionals (CPAs, CFPs, attorneys) should verify their state board or licensing body's rules on accepting referral fees before joining the partner program.
If you can't position the product cleanly within these lines, this role isn't for you. If you can — there's an enormous untapped market sitting in front of you.
