Full Stack / Front End Developer

6 month contract to permanent (only wants candidate who will convert to permanent)

Candidates with Github contributions get looked at first– wants people who are passionate and tinkering with technologies outside of work.

Healthcare experience required

Full Stack but building front end custom components – 60% FE / 40% BE

Will work on their HUGE existing website – 15K pages – server entire US organization (intranet has gone live)

Building integrations with other platforms (i.e.UKG, and ServiceNow) and continue to support and enhance app.

Must be able to develop and consume Restful APIs

GCP Serverless architectures (e.g., Google Cloud Functions, Google Cloud Run) and Kubernetes

React and NextJS for front end, Nodejs on the backend

Sitecore XM Cloud/Sitecore AI – not required but could be useful – must have some sort of CMS experience

Use Jira to manage 2 wk sprints

Use Jenkins for CI/CD – any CI/CD tools will work, doesn’t care

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of professional experience in full stack development.

Expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 (including preprocessors like SASS/LESS or UI frameworks like Tailwind CSS/Styled Components).

Solid experience with at least one back-end language and framework (e.g., Next.js, Node.js with Express/NestJS).

Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) is a plus.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).

Understanding of testing methodologies (unit, integration, end-to-end) and experience with relevant testing frameworks (Jest or Playwright preferred).

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

GraphQL experience is a plus

Familiarity with build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite).

Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for front and back-end development.

Duties

Design, develop, and implement highly interactive, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces using modern front-end libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

Develop middleware complexities and connect front-end and back-end integrations with Next.js framework.

Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes (e.g., Figma Designs) into high-quality code, ensuring technical feasibility and optimal performance.

Implement client-side logic, state management, and asynchronous operations.

Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to web standards and accessibility guidelines (WCAG).

Optimize front-end applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure server-side applications and APIs using NextJS, Node.js

Design and manage databases (e.g., SQL like PostgreSQL, MySQL; NoSQL like MongoDB, Cassandra).

Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices. Integrate with third-party services and external APIs.

Collaboration & Architecture:

Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions. Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the overall technical design of applications. Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards. Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members.
