Position: Database Architect (Oracle | DB2 | SSRS) Location: Saint Louis, MO Remote Visa: No Visa Restrictions Duration: 1+ Year Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Database Architect with expertise in Oracle Database, IBM DB2, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale database solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database architecture, performance tuning, data migration, and reporting, along with a proven ability to manage large-scale databases exceeding 1 TB in size.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise database architecture to support business-critical applications.
Administer, optimize, and support Oracle databases in high-volume production environments.
Extract, migrate, transform, and integrate data from IBM DB2 databases into Oracle or other target platforms.
Develop, maintain, and optimize reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and storage management.
Implement and maintain database backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
Support enterprise ETL processes and large-scale data migration initiatives.
Ensure database security, compliance, and data integrity across all environments.
Collaborate with application development teams, business stakeholders, and data engineers to deliver scalable and reliable database solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database performance and operational issues.
Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration and Database Architecture.
Experience working with IBM DB2 databases, including data extraction and migration.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
Experience managing and supporting large enterprise databases (1 TB+).
Expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
Experience with data migration, replication, and integration projects.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ETL tools and enterprise data warehousing solutions.
Knowledge of database security, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
Experience designing enterprise data architecture and reporting environments.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud database platforms such as Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or AWS.
Experience with database automation, scripting, and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of monitoring and database management tools.
