Build a Raspberry Pi 5 Android Kiosk OS with Root | Hourspent

We are looking an experienced developer to create a custom Android ROM specifically optimized for the Raspberry Pi 5 ARM64. The ROM must be commercially distributable and tailored for a standalone offline kiosk application. Key Requirements: Commercial Distribution Rights – The ROM must be legally distributable on Raspberry Pi 5 hardware. Qt Runtime Support – Must support Qt environment for running Play Store apps that depend on it. Bluetooth GPS & Location Services – Full functionality for wireless and location-based features. USB Serial Support – Enable communication with external serial devices. Root Access – Must allow rooting for APKs requiring system-level access e.g. shutdown commands. DSI Display Support – Compatibility with DSI displays is highly preferred. Custom Boot Animation – Include a custom boot animation ZIP in the compiled image. Play Store access is not required as this is an offline kiosk system. Ideal Candidate Should Have: Experience in compiling custom Android ROMs for ARM64 devices. Familiarity with Raspberry Pi 5 hardware and its Android compatibility layer. Knowledge of Qt integration device drivers Bluetooth GPS USB serial and bootloader modifications.
