American Automotive Technician (FORD & GMC)

An Automotive Technician specializing in Ford, GMC, and Chevrolet vehicles is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of passenger cars, SUVs, and light-duty trucks. This role requires both general mechanical expertise and brand-specific technical knowledge, particularly for GM platforms shared between GMC and Chevrolet.

Core Responsibilities

1. Diagnostics & Troubleshooting

• Utilize OEM diagnostic systems:
• Ford: IDS / FDRS
• GM (GMC & Chevrolet): GDS2 / Techline Connect
• Analyze diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), wiring diagrams, and technical service bulletins (TSBs).
• Perform systematic fault isolation across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

2. Repair & Maintenance

• Execute routine maintenance: oil changes, brake servicing, tire rotations, fluid inspections.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, driveline, suspension, and steering components.
• Service advanced systems including turbocharged engines (e.g., EcoBoost), fuel management systems, and emissions controls.
• Work on hybrid and electric models where applicable (e.g., GM EV platforms, Ford hybrids).

3. Electrical & Electronic Systems

• Diagnose and repair CAN/LIN bus networks, sensors, control modules (ECUs), and infotainment systems.
• Perform module programming, calibrations, and software updates using OEM tools.

4. Inspection & Compliance

• Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Document findings and recommend necessary repairs.

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
